It happened in Lucasville, Ohio on Friday evening.
LUCASVILLE, Ohio -- According to a news release issued by the Scioto County Sheriff's Office in Ohio, an investigation is under way about a double fatal shooting that occurred Friday evening at a residence at the 1100 Block of Sherborne Road in Lucasville, Ohio.
The release states that a call was received at 5:38 p.m. Friday from a female child stating that her mother and a friend were shot.
Deputies and detectives, along with Minford Squad 3, responded to the location. Upon their arrival, two subjects were pronounced dead at the scene.
The news release states that the victims are Gary D. Markins, 64, of Lucasville, and Nina Mannering, 29, of Jackson, Ohio.
Both victims were taken to Montgomery County for an autopsy.
The Scioto County Sheriff's Office is currently looking for a 2002 Ford Extended Cab pickup truck, Dark Blue in color, belonging to victim Gary D. Markins. The license plate reads "GARY DM" with a purple veteran's heart. The vehicle was taken from the scene, possibly by the suspect(s).
