The fire could be seen from Route 60 as fire crews battled the blaze from all directions.

MALDEN -- Thanksgiving Day's moderately dry and windy weather was just the right recipe for a couple of brush fires.

Thursday evening, four units were on the scene just outside of Malden where several acres of woods were burning.

The fire could be seen from Route 60 as fire crews battled the blaze from all directions.

Fire crews got that brush fire under control around 8 p.m., according to 911 dispatchers.
