CABIN CREEK, W.Va. -- West Virginia State Police have made an arrest related to copper thefts from phone service providers in the area.
According to a press release from state police, Trooper C. R. Holbert, of the Quincy Detachment, arrested Mr. Michael Craig Jarrell, 23, of Gallagher, W.Va., for the theft of copper wire with a value estimated of $8,000 to $10,000.
The copper wire was stolen over several occasions between the dates of Nov. 5, 2009 and Nov. 13, 2009 from Verizon and AT&T Mobile Communications in Cabin Creek, West Virginia.
Jarrell remains in the Southern Regional Jail, where he has been since Nov. 16, 2009 due to previous criminal charges in Fayette County, West Virginia.
