Mild fall weather is to blame.
SNOWSHOE -- Snowshoe Mountain Resort, in Pocahontas County, announced Nov. 20, that it will delay the opening day for the 2009-2010 ski season.
Opening Day was originally planned for Nov. 25, but Dec. 4 has now been set as the target date, officials said.
A mild fall is the cause for the delay, officials said.
Colder forecast models have officials hopeful that they will be able to begin making snow next week.
Other amenities at the resort will be available starting Nov. 25, officials said.
