GALLIPOLIS -- In Gallia County, a sixth grader from Washington Elementary School in Gallipolis was hit by a school bus Nov. 19.
According to witnesses, Michael Vallee, 11, ran into traffic on State Route 588 near the temporary location of Washington Elementary.
Eastbound traffic stopped in time, but the bus, which was traveling westbound, was unable to avoid hitting the child.
Vallee was taken by Gallia County EMS to Holzer Medical Center with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
There was no word on his condition.
