SISSONVILLE -- A Kanawha County school plagued with flooding may soon close its doors for good.
The Kanawha County Board of Education held a special session this evening to allow parents of kids at Bonham Elementary School to express their concerns. While most agree the school needs to close, they're not in full support of the plans.
The board will vote Thursday whether they'll close the school, sending the current students in several different directions for next school year.
"Bonham has been a problem in this county for years and years. Bonham has flooded eight times in the last eight years," said Board of Education member, Pete Thaw.
If closed, Bonham fifth graders will go to Sissonville's new middle school, along with Flynn Elementary's fifth grade.
Those in kindergarten through forth grade will be split between Flynn and Sissonville Elementaries.
