Officials discuss how to use reclaimed land for economic development.

LOGAN -- Leaders in Southern West Virginia are working on plans to help give the area an economic boost.

The Corridor G Regional Development Authority met Monday at Chief Logan State Park in Logan County.

Their goal was to discuss options for using land after it has been mined.

The group works to bring economic growth to Boone, Lincoln, Logan and Mingo counties.

Officials from those same counties also plan to have a private meeting with Gov. Joe Manchin Tuesday to talk about the future of coal in the region.
