CHARLESTON -- The mother of a Charleston man shot and killed by Police after a high speed chase is now suing the city.
Patricia Harrison, the mother of Brian Good, filed suit in Kanawha County Circuit Court Friday.
She's alleging the senior officer on shift the night of Sept. 11 should have called off the pursuit of her son.
That chase also led to death of Patrolman Jerry Jones, who was killed by friendly fire.
According to Metro News, Harrison and her attorney say police failed to follow proper procedures.
Charleston Mayor Danny Jones has said he welcomes the chance to take the case to court.
The President of the Charleston Fraternal order of Police also says he believes the officers were well within the bounds of their duty when they used lethal force.
