MORGANTOWN -- West Virginia University's Board of Governors met Friday to discuss a possible state budget deficit.
The financial committee decided to keep the next year's budget as is until it hears more from the state.
The board also heard from WVU President James Clements, who discussed the university's achievements.
Clements says there is more to come.
"Some of the things that are coming in the future, with the 100 new faculty positions, where some of the research money is headed, and some success stories over the last month or two," said Clements.
The board will meet again next month, with one new member.
Governor Joe Manchin is expected to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Steve Goodwin, before the end of the month.
