Statewide ammendments join the dozens of local races on the ballots.

Elections in Ohio and Kentucky Tuesday brought thousands of voters out in those two states. Buckeye State voters had three issues to decide on in addition to plenty of local races.

We stopped by a couple of Ohio polling places on Tuesday in Chesapeake and Fairland to talk to voters. Issues one and two cover veterans issues, and livestock care. But issue three, which will decide whether or not casinos will be allowed in the state, still got the majority of the attention.

"I know a lot of people are against it, but I actually voted for the casinos. Um, I know we're in the Bible belt, but people are going to spend their money elsewhere, we might as well benefit from it here in Ohio," said Kelli McComas, who lives in Proctorville and voted Tuesday.

"I would rather have them spend it, since I live in Ohio, pay taxes in Ohio, I'd much rather have them spend their money in Ohio than I would in West Virginia. And, I aint got nothin' against West Virginia, but I'm from Ohio," said Lawrence county voter Jim Robinson.

Other voters must have agreed because all three issues look like they'll pass by comfortable margins. Full election results can be found at WOWKTV.com.
