Triple Murder Trial Postponed

An Ohio Woman Could be Charged with the Death Penalty.

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio -- A Scioto County, Ohio, woman could face the death penalty in a triple murder case.

Kara Garvin is accused of shooting a family of three to death in Franklin Furnace, Ohio, in December 2008.

Her trial was supposed to start Monday in Scioto County court, however it was continued pending the test results of evidence from the prosecutor's office.

Garvin faces 18 counts including aggravated murder, burglary, robbery and tampering with evidence.

She pleaded not guilty back in January. The trial date has not yet been set.
