CHARLESTON -- A number of H1N1 clinic have been scheduled in the region this week.
KANAWHA COUNTY
In the wake of the first H1N1-related death in Kanawha County, and the continuing effort to curb the virus, the Kanawha County Health Department will continue vaccinating children and high-risk adults in the region.
Here is a look at vaccine clinics in Kanawha County schools:
* Monday, Nov. 2: Shoals Ruffner, Bonham and Sissonville Elementary Schools'
* Tuesday, Nov. 3: King Center Daycare;
* Wednesday, Nov. 4: Watts, Flinn, Robins, and St. Anthony’s Elementary Schools;
* Thursday, Nov. 5: Grandview and Chandler Elementary Schools;
* Friday, Nov. 6: Piedmont and Glenwood Elementary Schools and Vista View Pre-School.
In addition to the school clinics, the health department will hold the following clinics:
* A clinic for Chronically Ill Adults between the ages of 19 to 64 years on Tuesday, Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Health Department at 108 Lee Street East.
* A clinic for children who are not currently enrolled in school or home schooled as well as those in the Charleston day cares and preschools on Thursday, Nov. 5 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
* The Health Department is planning to continue its H1N1 vaccination clinics at the Health Department for pregnant women and children with chronic illnesses each Thursday from 12.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m.

CABELL COUNTY
The H1N1 clinics scheduled in Cabell County are only for people ages 6 months to 24 years old:
* An H1N1 clinic was scheduled for 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5 at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Barboursville;
* Wednesday, Nov. 11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Cabell County DMV in Huntington;
* Saturday, Nov. 21 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cabell Midland High School in Ona.
A seasonal flu clinic has also been scheduled for 1 to 3 p.m. Nov.10 at the West Virginia DMV in Huntington. This is only for high-risk people and Huntington City workers.
MASON COUNTY
Monday, Nov. 9 from 2 to 7 p.m.
Tuesday, Nov. 10 from 2 to 7 p.m. at the New Haven Community Center.
Thursday, Nov. 12 from 2 to 7 p.m. at Leon Town Hall.
Tuesday, Nov. 20 from noon to 6 p.m. at the Mason County Health Department in Point Pleasant.
These clinics will be targeted to the top 5 priority groups as designated by the Center for Disease Control. These targeted groups are:
* Pregnant women-must have a prescription from your OB provider * Household contact or caregiver of children under the age of 6 months * Health Care workers including emergency medical service personnel * Anyone age 6 months to 24 years of age * Anyone between the ages of 25 and 64 who have one or more health conditions associated with higher risk of complications from influenza
WOOD COUNTY
Clinics will be held at the DILS Center on Market Street in Parkersburg:
Thursday, Nov. 5 from 4:30 – 8 p.m. (4th and 5th graders and elementary school kids only)
Friday, Nov. 6 from 4:30 to 8 p.m. (4th and 5th graders and elementary school kids only)
Saturday, Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (only for pregnant women, children 6 months to 18 years of age, Health Care Workers and household contacts of infants under 6 months old).
Clinic will be held at the City Park Pavilion in Parkersburg:
Wednesday, Nov 18 from 2 to 8 p.m. (only for pregnant women, children 6 months to 18 years of age, Health Care Workers and household contacts of infants under 6 months old).
Clinic will be held at the DILS Center on Market Street in Parkersburg:
Saturday, Nov. 21 from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. (only for pregnant women, children 6 months to 18 years of age, Health Care Workers and household contacts of infants under 6 months old).
