UPDATE: Body Found in Mason County Identified

The Mason County Sheriff's Department is investigating.

APPLE GROVE -- The Mason County sheriff's department has released the name of a woman found dead in the county on Tuesday.

Mason County Sheriff David Anthony said Tonya Lynn Slaughter, 35, of Huntington, was found lying along Barton Chapel Road in the Apple Grove area of Mason County.

Anthony said Slaughter was the victim of an apparent homicide. Investigators said Slaughter has no known connection to Mason County.

The investigation is continuing.

This is so sad word already spread through the community of who it was i cant believe someone would hurt her she has three kids an now they are gonna suffer what monster or monsters did this u will be caught watch people talk thought they could drop the body off n no one would find it God people need to think before doing something stupid took her life for what
