HUNTINGTON -- Sunday marked the end of the second annual Tsubasacon -- a three day anime convention held at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena.
The convention brought over 900 anime and japanese comic fans from across the country. Some of the weekends activities included anime screenings, costume contests and a midnight rave. Smaller conventions like this one are sometimes better than the large ones, claims some of the vendors.
"Actually the smaller cons are a lot more fun for actually getting exposure, for going around to smaller towns and just kind of promoting the brand. The sales are always, you know...I mean I made back what I spent so thats all you can really hope for," said Tatiana Kalba.
During the convention there was also a canned food drive in support of the Huntington Area Food Bank.
Tsubasacon is the only convention focusing on Japanese animation and comics in the state of West Virginia.
