HUNTINGTON --  October is Disability Awareness month. For the third straight year local people participated in an effort to draw attention to the needs of people with disabilities.

About a dozen community leaders, media members and business people participated in the third annual event. Participants spent their day either in a wheel chair or sight impaired. The purpose of the exercise is to show that even though its difficult, people with disabilities can be successful in the work place.
