ELKVIEW, WV --  On Sunday, September 20, Senior West Virginia Trooper L. W. Price and Trooper S. P. Demaske of the South Charleston Detachment received information concerning a methamphetamine laboratory at 1504 Elkhart Drive in Elkview.

Troopers say a search of the residence revealed materials and apparatus necessary to make methamphetamine. Michael Lewis Pittman and Hollie Catherine Cantrell from Elkview were arrested for operation of a clandestine laboratory.

Both individuals were transported to the South Central Regional Jail to await arraignment in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.

Additionally, the Kanawha County Planning Commissioner responded to the scene of the laboratory and condemned the residence.
