Fatal Accident in Pennsylvania Claims Life of Spencer Man.

A Spencer, WV man was killed after an overnight vehicle crash on I-79 in Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania State Police say alcohol is believed to a factor in what led to a head-on collision killing 26-year-old Jacob Hively of Spencer.

Reports say a 33-year-old woman from Casper, Wyoming was traveling northbound in the southbound lane of the interstate in Greene County when she crashed her 2005 chevy Silverado head-on into a 1995 chevy cavalier driven by Hively.

Hively was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman from Wyoming was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Police aren't releasing the woman's name at this time.

I am also from Spencer. I went to high school with Jacob and his sister. This is such a tragic loss for Jacob's family and the town of Spencer. I can't even imagine the pain that this woman inflicted on his parents, all because she made the decision to drink and drive. Please let this be a lesson to all...DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!!!!

I am from Spencer and this is a tragic loss for anyone to have to suffer. This was a good guy who was senselessly murdered by a drunk driver. Can we not use this as a means to enact stiffer penalties for those who drink and drive? My thoughts and prayers go out to the Hively family and especially to Jacob's parents.

I lost my big brother because this woman was drinking and driving... I had to hold my mom while she cried and told me how bad it hurt... My 8 month old daughter will never know her Uncle J. There will ALWAYS be a peice of my heart missing because someone killed my brother...
