CABIN CREEK -- Updated at 4:22 p.m. Wednesday

West Virginia State Police say one person is dead following a crash involving a truck in Kanawha County.

Police say one person was pronounced dead at the scene around 3 p.m. Wednesday on Coal Fork Road in Cabin Creek.

Earlier, police thought an ATV was involved, however they are now telling WOWKTV.com that it was a pickup truck that rolled over on Coal Fork Road.

Three people were in the truck at the time of the crash. The person in the passenger side was ejected from the vehicle.

The person in the middle of the truck cab suffered some minor cuts and bruises. That person was treated and released a the scene.

The driver suffered some neck injuries and was taken to CAMC. He told state police he lost control when shifting gears and the truck ran off the road and flipped.

Names have not been released at this time.

Another senseless death because no seat belt was in place. When will individuals ever learn...seatbelts save lives? So many articles read, " The victim was ejected during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene." My heart goes out to the surviving relatives.
