The fire started around 4:30 a.m. in a building beside the Great American Lines trucking company on Route 2 in Millwood.

J and M Industrial company was renting the building.

The building was destroyed by fire.

Cottageville, Ravenswood and Ripley fire departments all responded to the scene.

One firefighter from Ravenswood was taken to a local hospital with smoke inhalation, but has been released.

There's no word on what caused the fire to start.
