St. Albans police believe drugs played a major role in the death.
ST. ALBANS -- A St. Alban teen was arrested after passing out behind the wheel of his car.
St. Albans police were called to investigate a sitting car on Park Street around 8 p.m. Friday.
Officers found Jonathan Duff, 18, of St. Albans unconscious in his vehicle along with a female passenger who was also unconscious.
SAPD officials said they believe both Duff and his passenger were under the influence of oxycodone and had been huffing inhalants.
Officers said they saw damage on Duff's car that was consistent with damage from hitting a chain link fence.
Duff was charged with DUI, simple possession, leaving the scene, no proof of insurance and no operators license.
