Salt Rock Woman Dies in Car Crash

Sheriff's deputies said the driver lost control and hit a concrete bridge.

SALT ROCK -- One woman is dead, after a single car wreck in Cabell County.

It happened around 7:20 p.m. Saturday in the 4600 block of Tyler Creek Road in Salt Rock.

Cabell County Sheriff's deputies said Lynn Marie Smith, 34, of Salt Rock died after she lost control of her 1999 Pontiac Sunfire.

Smith was headed west on Tyler Creek Road when she crossed the center line and struck a concrete bridge. The car landed in a creek.

Investigators said Smith was not wearing a seatbelt.

Speed is believe to be a factor.
