OHIO -- Ohio Congressman Zack Space continues to defend his vote on the cap and trade bill. The bill, which addresses global warming and limits emissions on heat trapping gasses narrowly passed by 219 to 212.
44 Democrats voted against it but Space voted for it. He says he favors the bill because it saves coal jobs and invests $180-billion in development of clean coal technology.
Despit the criticisim Space has taken he believes that the bill will stimulate the coal economy.

Some critics of the bill fear it will drive up energy prices, during tough economic times.. Republican leaders and others opposing the bill say it is nothing more than an additional tax.
