CLARKSBURG -- The Alternative Learning Center in Harrison County is getting a prevention resource officer. The school board heard a memo regarding the PRO at its regular meeting, Tuesday afternoon. The board secured a grant for the Clarksburg Police to have an officer at the center during school hours. Clarksburg Police Chief Marshall Goff says the PRO program is a benefit to the county.
The officer will be at the school during normal school hours, once the school year begins.
