42-year-old Ginger Whittaker Bragg found in her Glade Springs Resort home.

DANIELS -- The Raleigh County Sheriff's Department says 42-year-old Ginger Whittaker Bragg was dead in her home in Daniels in Raleigh County when they were called to the scene Sunday afternoon.

Deputies say they do not suspect foul play. An autopsy is underway. It could take several weeks for toxicology results to be complete.

The Ronald Meadows Funeral Home will be handling arrangements for Bragg. Nothing will be scheduled until her body is released from the medical examiner's office.

Ginger Bragg is Jack Whittaker's daughter and the mother of Brandi Bragg. Brandi Bragg died of a drug overdose in December 2004. She was 17 years old.

Jack Whittaker won $315 million in the Powerball Lottery. At the time, it was the largest jackpot ever won by a single ticket in U.S. history.

May God be with this family. Thanks for posting his story and about the LOTTERY CURSE. I've read many other similar lottery stories as well and I will not buy a ticket now. After all, I'm blessed already, why messed that up.

I have read the story of jack. True, its very sad. It tells you what not to do if you win. God bless this man and his family, and I hope for the best. When I win, I will keep this story in mind.

Jack lives his life like a reckless teenager. I'm amazed he's still alive.

I am a Charleston native and I only wish what is left of the family well. And I wish I had won what Jack won. If I had won, there would now be a not for profit Home and School called "David's Tree House for Autistic Children here in Daytona Beach. My Grandson is 15 and he and others like him need all the help they can get. That amount of money could do so much good. Sad

Obviously, no one knows or remembers the pre Power Ball winner Jack Whittaker when he was doing businees in Fayette county. A crook is a crook is a crook. Before Power Ball and after. His life was cursed due to his own choice of how he lives his life.

Yes, Ginger has had bad health for several years, and yes, a large amount of money does assist in acquiring various things that an average person cannot obtain.

At this point in time, it is totally irrelevant to speculate about money or drugs. This family has undergone a tremendous loss over the past few years. This not only includes Ginger and Brandy, but several other family members. That is what needs to be the focus. Empathy, if not sympathy for this entire family.

First of all there are drug addicts all over. NO the whole family are not addicts. If you knew any of the family personally, you would know this. The only reason everyone knows this mans business is because of the lottery. If everyone would mind there own business they would be better off.

My boyfriend worked for Jack and he knows them well. Ginger was a good woman and because her Dad won the lottery everyone knows every move they make. The only curse that comes along with the lottery is that you do not have any privacy at all and there is always someone out there trying to get a piece of it and when you dont give it to them, they do what ever they can do to cause you or your family trouble.

Before you go saying that the whole family are addicts, you need to get your facts straight.

Thats crap. Same thing would've happened if he hadn't won the lottery. His family were drug addicts. Do you think they became drug addicts because he won the lottery? Ignorant....

Lord have mercy on this man. Since he has won the lottery, his life has been nothing but hell. I see now, that there is such a thing as a "lottery curse". May God watch over him and his family!!
