HUNTINGTON -- A Cabell County man faces 10 years for a felony gun crime.

Jonathan Luke Ross, 23, of Barboursville, pleaded guilty in federal court to theft of firearms.

On July 23, 2008, Ross broke into Sam's Gun and Pawn in Wayne, and stole five firearms. Sam's Gun and Pawn is a federal firearms licensee.

The firearms traveled in interstate commerce prior to being stolen by Ross. When he is sentenced on Sept. 21, Ross faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

The ATF River City Gun Task Force, the Huntington Police Department, the West Virginia State Police and the Wayne County Sheriff's Department conducted the investigation.
