The State Senate Judiciary Committee got an update on the status of the Sludge Injection Study being completed by Department of Environmental Protection.

CHARLESTON -- The fight continues to guarantee safe drinking water for all West Virginians.
Tuesday afternoon, the State Senate Judiciary Committee got an update on the status of the Sludge Injection Study being completed by Department of Environmental Protection.
DEP officials say while they have run way behind schedule, but they anticipate phase one of the study will be completed by the first of May.
Once phase one is completed the Department of Health and Human Resources will take over for phase two.
DHHR is given a year's time to complete it's study.
