ELKINS -- State Police in Elkins have arrested a 7th grade teacher from Elkins Middle School in Randolph County for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a former student.
Troopers arrested Autumn Faulkner, 26, and charged her with sexual abuse by a guardian, they said.
Faulkner was having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old juvenile, records indicate.
State Police obtained a search warrant and entered Faulkner's Beverly home where they found enough evidence to arrest her.
Police seized Faulkner's 2004 Pontiac Vibe and a number of other items, they said.
The investigation is ongoing and more charges could be filed.
If convicted, the penalty for sexual abuse by a guardian is 10 to 20 years in prison.
Faulkner has been arraigned and bond set at $50,000.
She is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
