SISSONVILLE, KANAWHA CO. -- A family is homeless after a fire early Sunday morning.
Sissonville firefighters responded to the scene just after 6:30 a. m. on Derricks Creek Road. They said the home was fully engulfed by flames when they arrived. Firefighters tell 13News one person was hurt but was not transported to the hospital.
Crews were on the scene until 9:15 a. m. The home was a complete loss. The Red Cross was called to assist the family that was staying in the home.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. Sissonville Fire Marshals continue to investigate.
