CHARLESTON -- A vote on whether to allow casino gambling in Ohio could impact the gaming industry in West Virginia.

Ads have been running over the last several weeks for Issue 6.

In November, voters in the Buckeye State will decide whether or not to amend their state constitution to allow casino gambling.

Some are worried it could cost casinos here in the Mountain State.

"Their big claim to fame is complaining that people are leaving Ohio to come to West Virginia to spend money and they are on gasoline, restaurants and hotel rooms and they're from Ohio," said Kanawha County Commissioner Kent Carper.

Officials at Tri-State Racetrack and Gaming Center in Nitro estimate about 20 percent of their visitors are from Ohio.
