One of the suspects was a Huntington fire fighter, police said.
CLENDENIN -- State Police arrested five Kanawha County residents after an investigation involving a 13-year-old girl allegedly being sexually assaulted and photographed. On Monday, Trooper Bennett of the South Charleston State Police detachment arrested Donald William Taylor, 20, of Bomont on three counts of third degree sexual assault; Thomas Vinson Mitchell, 29, of Clendenin, for contributing to the delinquency of a minor and use of a minor in filming sexually explicit conduct; Joshua Barnes, 23, of Clendenin, for use of a minor in filming sexually explicit conduct; Shelly Sizemore, 35, also of Bomont, and Amber Stanley, 21, of Clendenin for contributing to the delinquency of a minor and use of a minor in filming explicit conduct, according to a release from State Police.
The arrests came after a juvenile reported that Taylor had intercourse with the her on three separate occasions in June, the release said.
"Some of the occasions occurred in a vehicle along Morris Creek Road near Clendenin. The investigation also revealed that the persons arrested photographed the juvenile posing in various positions with sexual overtones," the release said. "Some of the pictures recovered contained the juvenile with Sizemore and Stanley posing in a sexual manner.: Taylor was released on a $2,000 surety bond and Mitchell was released on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond.
Mitchell is employed as a fire fighter with the Huntington Fire Department and as a volunteer fireman with Clendenin fire department, the release said.
Barnes was released on a $10,000 personal recognizance and Sizemore on a $500. PR bond. Stanley was released on a $10,000.
None of the persons arrested are related.
This investigation is ongoing.
