March of Dimes teaming with CAMC
Thanks to a new program, Charleston Area Medical Center will be able to provide some extra comfort for its smallest patients.
The March of Dimes has selected the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at CAMC Womens and Children's Hospital as a NIC-U Family Support Site.
The project aims to give families of premature and critically ill newborns specialized attention during a difficult time.
Women's and Children's Hospital is the first site in the state selected to participate in this program.
An estimated 500 babies are admitted to CAMC's NIC-U every year.
