By Gina Long

ASHLAND, Ky -- A driver was charged with murder after a pedestrian was hit and killed in Ashland, Ky.

It happened just before 11 p.m. Wednesday in the 2200 block of Sixth Street.

Police say 37-year-old Stephen Mills was on Sixth Street in a motorized wheelchair when he was hit by a vehicle from behind.

Mills later died at the hospital.

Police say the driver left the scene of the crash.

Stacie Boyd, 38, of Flatwoods was later arrested.

She's charged with murder and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicants.
