CHARLESTON -- The vacant Montgomery Ward space at the Charleston Town Center soon may have a new tenant.
Brickstreet Insurance is in talks to purchase the space and consolidate its operations and move about 500 employees into one building.
Preliminary plans have those employees parking in the Town Center Mall's parking garage during the week.
Shoppers we talked to say they aren't concerned about the increased crowds that could come along with the move.
"It would be good for the economy," said shopper Brandon Douglas. "It would be good for business and probably be good for the Town Center Mall."
According to a Brickstreet spokesman, the purchase agreement has not been signed.
Calls to the Charleston Town Center offices Tuesday were not returned.
