And that should give us an idea just how special a kid Jarod was – defensive captain of his football team, straight A student, Princeton recruit, friend, son and a decent guy.

You know, a loss like that puts things in perspective pretty quickly. It’s a brutal reminder of how fragile and precious life is. There are a lot of people twice Jarod’s age who haven’t put half as much passion into life.

We offer our support to Jarod’s family and the people of Point Pleasant during this time off grief. And we promise to take the lessons of his life to heart.
