First, let me swerve off the beaten weather path and tip my hat to the great Soupy Sales who passed away this week. As many know, he spent a lot of his formative years around Huntington and surrounding areas of WV before moving on to become an early TV comedy icon. I got to watch Soupy as a kid and thought he was hilarious. I have to say that I think I always knew I wanted to be on radio or TV... and if I sometimes stray down a silly avenue when I'm on, it's because Soupy showed me that it's perfectly OK... the difference is that he got a pie in the face. I don't need the calories, thanks. :) I did get to meet him a few times and man, when the camera came on he was ON! Truly one of the funniest people I ever met and one of the nicest celebrities I ever met as well. I'll miss his humor and his demeanor. Meanwhile, this weekend we'll see some clouds early and another patch of clouds later in the day. There is the slightest chance of seeing a sprinkle especially in the late afternoon. Otherwise our temperatures should stay static early in the 58-60 degree range - and then fall a little bit when the next large bank of clouds rolls over us. Saturday night we'll clear out a bit and drop to 39 or so. Sunday we'll see more sunshine and temperatures will be in the low 60s. Have a good weekend and hey - keep smiling! --Spencer Adkins
