Alexandra grew up in Macungie, Pennsylvania (outside of Allentown, PA), and went on to attend Syracuse University. After an exciting four years, including a national basketball championship (which she was lucky enough to go to!), she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2006 with degrees in both Broadcast Journalism and Marketing. Since she had always been interested in weather (especially the potential for snow days as a student!), she decided to move on to the Pennsylvania State University right after graduating from Syracuse. She graduated with Distinction from Penn State in December 2007 with a degree in Meteorology.

As a student at Penn State she was honored with an American Meteorological Society award, and was their guest at the AMS Annual Meeting in New Orleans in January 2008. In March 2009 she earned the American Meteorological Society’s Certified Broadcast Meteorologist title, the most prestigious designation given by the AMS.

In her free time, Alexandra enjoys spending time with family and friends, yoga, and all kinds of pop culture. She also makes sure to keep up with the Syracuse and Penn State sports teams, and is excited to see some games in her new town (although it’s important to mention WVU was the Big East team she cheered for when Syracuse wasn’t playing them!).

She is looking forward to working with a great weather team, and is really enjoying her new community. She has met so many wonderful people already – and looks forward to meeting many more!
